The Story Behind the Owner
Paul Minnihan graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and has sought out a lifestyle of creating beautiful painting for work and for pleasure, ever since. His painting expertise includes commissioned portraits, commercial backdrops, gilding, expert color matching, glazing, top quality Venetian plaster and other textures, trompe l’oeil and more. His background in marbling and woodgraining is impressive and has done entire libraries with faux wood paneling that look like the real thing. Paul worked for the top decorative painting firms in Chicago before starting his own company in 2000. In addition, Paul has taught masters chefs across the country the art of airbrushing on pastries and has helped the highly respected Sebastion Cannone of The French Pastry School win the International Competitive Pastry Tournament in 2004.
Paul continues to research and explore new and old painting techniques from all sources, particularly his travels around the world. Every year he visits sacred sites across the globe experiencing a deep level of spirit and culture which he translates and reflects in the work he creates back home.
